Saving the princess’s long hair!

My gorgeous girl, in a fit of dissatisfaction with life has been begging me to cut her hair. Call it luck, fate, divine intervention or serendipity (I do like the last of those), but I found an amazing blog dedicated to beautiful hairdos for little girls. Here is my first attempt, and she loves it!!

I have to thank the wonderful lady at http://snapbandz.blogspot.co.uk/ for flooding me with inspiration and saving the princess’s locks.

I do love the ending of the film “Tangled”, and it seems fairly appropriate to mention it in this blog, but there is something rather wonderful about a little girl with long hair.

Kesia has had a little look at the snapbandz blog and now wants lots of flowers and positively buzzes at the idea of hair irons to make curls.  What a beautiful thing is her smile…

  1. You did a very nice job on it! It looks complicated, and like it might have been difficult to do!

I have a friend who has two girls (8 and 11) with long hair. She recently sent a picture of them with gorgeous natural looking curls, along with a video on how to make ‘sock bun curls’. Something made me think of it when I found this post. I thought I would share it with you in case you might be interested.

She has links to other videos and the bun sits higher on top of the head, and might be more comfortable to sleep in. Here it is:

      1. I would so love to be able to use it myself! 🙂 I’d need longer hair for that. I have horrible nightmares of the sponge curlers my mother was obsessed with during my childhood. Would have loved to have known about the sock bun back then! LOL.
